synopsis

Karisma plays the title role of Fiza, a muslim girl
living in Bombay. The initial part of the film is set
during the Bombay riots of 1991. Fiza lives happily
with her younger brother Amaan (Hrithik) and mother
(Jaya Bachchan). However, in the midst of the riots,
the siblings are separated. Hrithik is missing, presumed
dead. The rest of the story is about Fiza's search for
her brother. After six long years, he does turn up,
but in the interim, he's become a hardened criminal...

Neha plays Hrithik's teenage-romance. Bikram
Saluja, model-turned-actor, makes his debut in
this film. He is the subdued boy smitten by Karisma.
Also starring are Manoj Bajpai and Sushmita Sen.
